RT-smartIMRT is simple, precise and versatile by design:

The big box in the center has a size of 320 x 300 x 70 mm, and as shown in the picture above, accommodates all kind of equipment and devices for Linac QA and treatment plan verification.
Devices as MatrixX, the arrays from PTW and SunNuclear fit perfectly inside, simple but precise adapters make sure that the reference point exactly is in the geometrical phantom center.
The same for all other test objects, structure plates, TLD-, Film- of CT adapters, with adapters made form standard RW3 plates the devices are exactly positioned for exact and repeatable measurements.
With 2 side slabs the RT-smartIMRT is ready for standard 300 x 300 mm slab phantom plates, so for chamber plates as well, allowing absolute dosimetry.
The alignment of the RT-smartIMRT to the Linac ISO center is simple. There are engraved crosshair marks on all sides, as the phantom is symetrically the geometrical center is exactly in the middle.

The phantom body rests on 4 metal free ball bearing wheels allowing free rotation, the motion is soft and friction free even at phantom weights of above 40 kg.

The stand is made of strong acrylic consoles, connected by special shadow free carbon fiber tubes. 4 point leveling is included, plus degree scales and rotation lock.

Two massive RW3 cylinder segmants can be attached and removed in a minute, they are centered and fixed by big and strong screws. 
So RT-smartIMRT is both, a flat phatom with field size marks mainly for QA, plus a body shaped cylinder phantom with diameter of 360 mm for patient plan verification from standard treatment up to latest VMAT/RapidARC with fff beams.

The link to the Gantry is made from lightweight but strong carbon fiber tubes. Very simple, and so the mechanical connection to the gantry is just a piece of velcro tape, so simple.

The magnetic clutch on the rear side of RT-smartIMRT compensates for different phantom momentums and can be locked in 90º steps. So the phantom can be used for both therapy and kV-Imaging beam QA.
Another small feature: The stand and phantom body are interlocked and can't fall apart. And another one: you find the instructions as pictograms on the back.
